What is Universal Pathways?
Universal Pathways allows you to jumpstart your path to higher education through Universal Learner Courses (ULCs) - an affordable, low-risk way to earn college credit at your own pace. The following programs let you take first and second year ASU courses for college credit. Only pay to add them to your transcript if you're satisfied with your grade.
Who can take Universal Learner Courses?
Universal Learner Courses are specifically designed for those who haven't yet enrolled at ASU but are interested in taking ASU courses and earning college credits. Select the category below that best describes you.
ASU ULCs
Take first and second year ASU courses at your own pace, with no risk to your GPA.
ASU Earned Admission
Transfer students and working adults can earn admission into ASU at their own pace.
Accelerate ASU
High schools and nonprofits can offer ULCs to improve college readiness and increase test scores.
Benefits of Universal Learner Courses
Pay when you pass
Pay for a course only if you successfully pass with a 'C' or higher, are satisfied with your grade, and decide to transcript the course. Total course cost is $425.
Earn college credit
Courses are taught by ASU faculty. Use credit at ASU or thousands of other colleges and universities across the country.
