How It Works
Through Universal Learner Courses (ULCs), you can gain college experience, earn credit for a fraction of the cost and pay only if you pass the course.
With Universal Learner Courses, you can:

You’ll receive an email within 1-2 business days of registering with your ASURITE ID, which you’ll use to log in to your dashboard.

Receive credit
Pay and add to your transcript
Congratulations…you’ve completed your course! If you’re happy with your grade, pay the $400 course fee within one year and receive academic credit, which will appear on your myASU page and your official ASU transcript.
Some things to consider before adding a course to your transcript:
- You don’t have to add the courses to your transcript, so think carefully before transcripting a “C” grade, as it could affect your overall GPA as you apply to college. With Universal Learner Courses, you can decide the next step.
- You won’t be able to retake ULCs once you’ve transcripted, so be sure you’re happy with your grade before paying.
- If you want to take the course for a better grade, you can! Just sign up again for the course. Just remember - you can only transcript the course grade once.
Apply to ASU
Or transfer your credits to another university
If you’re interested in pursuing a degree at ASU, submit your application. Each course you converted for credit will appear on your transcript so you can begin your studies with a portion of your undergraduate degree already completed.
Not interested in attending ASU? No problem. You’ll have a transcript you can provide to any university that accepts ASU credits. This can be done from your myASU homepage under the My Classes section.
