Electrical Engineering: (Electric Power and Energy Systems), BSE
In the Bachelor of Science in Engineering program in electrical engineering with a concentration in electric power and energy systems, you are prepared for positions in industries that deal with the generation, transmission and use of electric power. Generation includes conventional power generation (fossil fuel and nuclear) and alternative energy systems, such as solar, wind and fuel cells.
You first complete the foundation courses in math, science and engineering. Next, you take the pathway course in energy systems and power electronics, and complete nine of the 15 technical elective credit hours with electrical power and energy systems courses. Your senior design capstone project focuses on the area of electric power and energy systems.
