To be successful in this course, we recommend English language fluency and computer literacy. We also encourage you to make sure your laptop or desktop computer meets the technical requirements.

What you’ll learn

  • Explain the basic concepts and terminology related to privacy and summarize the important privacy regulations that exist domestically and internationally
  • Identify ethical topics & issues today in cybersecurity and information technology understanding the tradeoffs involved
  • Describe the major Information Security compliance frameworks used in industry today including, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, the ISO 27000 Series, COBIT, PCI-DSS, and Generally Acceptable Privacy Principles (GAPP)
  • Access, analyze and select controls in technology and business processes to support adherence with compliance frameworks and enable organizations to successfully comply with relevant regulatory requirements
